The Frontier Conference Announces 2021 Conference Dates

Industrial innovation conference to be held in Birmingham for the first time, moved to April 12-14

The Frontier Conference, the nation’s only conference focused on emerging technologies for all key industrial sub-sectors has announced it will be rescheduled for April 12-14 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.“

Our priority is the safety of our attendees and participants. During these uncertain times, we have made the decision to move the conference to April 2021 with the hope that this will bring opportunities for safe and valuable in-person engagement that The Frontier is known for,” said Hank Torbert, founder of The Frontier. “We continue to closely monitor COVID-19 updates and will continue to make necessary adjustments in the best interest of all parties involved.”

The two-day conference will be held at The Lyric Theatre and will bring together leading innovators, thinkers, executives, visionaries, investors, and entrepreneurs to connect and rethink the future of industrial innovation. The Frontier is a channel for emerging ideas and insights to be shared within and across industries and disciplines such as manufacturing, transportation and logistics, telecommunication, renewable energy and clean power, agribusiness, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and more.“

In 2016, we launched The Frontier Conference to bring industry leaders together to catalyze investment in innovative initiatives that support emerging organizations, cutting-edge research and economic development,” said Torbert. “As the epicenter of industrial innovation, Birmingham is the ideal host city for the conference, which will go beyond a learning and networking destination but a hub for ongoing conversation.”

More than just an event, the Frontier is a network where leaders in industrial innovation collaborate and cultivate a dynamic ecosystem across the Southeast.“

The dynamic discussions generated by The Frontier contribute to the larger, global conversation about industrial innovation and entrepreneurship,” said Greg Barker, president of the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama. “Bringing together innovation leaders from across the country to Birmingham provides tremendous opportunity for collaboration and growth in our state and region.”

The Frontier Conference will provide an intimate setting with keynotes and panel discussions, investor and emerging company connections, and ample networking time between sessions. Each setting will include proper social distancing as well as any additional safety and health measures needed to ensure each attendee can enjoy the conference as safely as possible.  Additional details about the conference will be announced at a later date.
