Steve Sewell is executive vice president of the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama, a private, non-profit alliance of leading businesses that works to bring quality economic growth to the state. EDPA has partnered with state and local allies over the last 30 years to help bring about some of Alabama’s most significant economic development successes.

Steve joined EDPA in 1994 and the primary focus of his work has been the development and implementation of strategic marketing efforts to promote Alabama’s advantages as a business location.

He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association since the organization’s inception in 2001 and he is an advisory board member for the Alabama Productivity Center. He also serves on the boards for the Alabama Germany Partnership and the Japan America Society of Alabama. Steve is a graduate of the University of Alabama, where he is a member of the Board of Visitors of the University of Alabama College of Communication.
