Rick Clementz serves as the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary as well as Chief of Staff with responsibility for strategy among other things at Mercedes-Benz U.S. International (MBUSI) in Vance, Alabama.  MBUSI employs 4,200+ Team Members in the production of the GLE, GLS, GLE Coupe and Maybach.  MBUSI is currently preparing to begin production of two all new fully electric SUVs that will be available to purchase in 2022.  MBUSI is also beginning production trials for the batteries later this year. 

Mr. Clementz has 15+ years of experience with MBUSI.  He joined MBUSI in 2005 as a Quality Engineer.  He later transferred to the MBUSI Legal Department in 2010 and was appointed Senior Manager/General Counsel in August 2016.  He holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Manufacturing Engineering and a Juris Doctorate Degree. 

Mr. Clementz is a native of Ohio.  He lives in Tuscaloosa with his wife, Lauren, and their 5 children.
