Nitin Shah

Nitin J. Shah is an innovator with a record of developing products, technologies and architectures for mobile networks from concept to commercialization. He is Principal Innovator at Nokia Bell Labs, and is based in Silicon Valley. He has expertise in corporate and product strategy, network architecture and software development for mobile communications, marketing and business development. Nitin orchestrated the proposal and partnerships for the Tipping Point award by NASA Space Technology Mission Directorate to Nokia for deployment of first ever 4G/LTE on the lunar surface. His current role is in the Nokia Tech Ventures initiative, to commercialize IP and technology from Nokia Bell Labs via external partners and incubators. Nitin has a BA and MA in Natural Sciences and a PhD in Microelectronics from the University of Cambridge in England, and a still incomplete Executive MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. Fun facts: Nitin is sole inventor on patents for “airplane mode”. He was born on the Equator at an altitude of 2360 meters in a town with < 3000 people.
