CJ Vizas
Chairman | SmartSenseCom
Mr. Vizas spent the last 40 years helping develop successful technology companies, after earlier forays into government and academia. He was a founder in Trinity Cellular, Orion Network Systems, Asia Pacific Space and Communications, Quo Vadis International, Fiber Optic Sensor Systems and SmartSenseCom. At Orion, he successfully led the changes in US and European policy that resulted in privatization of international satellite communications and led the creation of the partnership that financed Orion and facilitated its international operation. He managed technology teams and oversaw investment in emerging technology companies (in telecommunications, IT and sensing). He served as an Officer and Director of public companies in the United States and Asia. He served in the Ford White House, was appointed by President Ford as Special Counsel to the US Privacy Commission, consulted with succeeding administrations on information policy issues, and served on congressional staff; he represented the United States in international negotiations.
Today he is active in SmartSenseCom, Inc., an advanced sensor platform company, and is a director of Agingo Corporation, a data platform company innovating in blockchain applications. He is a member of the Board of George Washington University’s CIBER program. He is a fellow of Branford College, Yale University. He received his undergraduate, graduate and legal education at Yale, and post-graduate studies at the University of Cambridge and the University of Chicago.
